HUNTSVILLE, Al. The search is on for a missing real estate agent, Ronald Dumas Jr., who hasn’t been seen since Sunday, December 15.
His family and friends are heartbroken and desperate for answers as the Huntsville Police Department continues to investigate.
What We Know So Far
Ronald, 37, was last heard from on Sunday night around 10 p.m. His family filed a missing persons report two days later.
The next day, Ronald’s car was found on the side of Interstate 40 by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
But what happened to him after that is a complete mystery.
His phone showed signs of moving further down I-40 before the signal disappeared.
Ronald’s loved ones are especially puzzled because he’s a devoted father of three and would never disappear without letting someone know.
A Family’s Plea
Shakeria Samples, the mother of one of Ronald’s children, is pleading for answers. “He loves his kids, and they love him.
He wouldn’t go four or five days without talking to them,” she told News 19.
Through tears, she added, “We love you. I hope you’re safe and not hurt. We’re not going to stop looking until we find you.”
The Mystery of Sunday Night
Police say Ronald was out with some people that Sunday night, but his family doesn’t know who they were.
Investigators have spoken to people close to him, but none of them were with him that evening.
The Huntsville Police Department is urging anyone who knows what happened that night to come forward.
Our Take
This is heartbreaking. A loving father vanishes without a trace, and his car is left on the side of the road? Something isn’t adding up.
It’s hard to understand why the people who were with him on Sunday night haven’t come forward yet.
If you know something, speak up. Imagine how you’d feel if it were your loved one missing.
Let’s hope Ronald is found safe and that his family gets the answers they deserve.
