Luigi Mangione Shocking Connection: Suspected Killer Lived in Honolulu Luxury Apartment Before Arrest

Luigi Mangione, the man arrested for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was living in a high-end apartment in Honolulu just before his arrest.

According to reports, the 26-year-old was renting a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom corner unit at 801 South Street, a luxury building in the city.

The apartment, which Mangione is said to have lived in since February, is part of a 46-story building that offers stunning views.

Although the apartment’s owners, Peter and Nam Joun, were unaware that Mangione was renting from them, the building is managed by a third-party company.

Rent for similar apartments in the building ranges from $3,150 to $3,450 a month.

Before moving into this apartment, Mangione lived in a co-living space in Hawaii, where his former roommate expressed shock upon hearing about his arrest.

Mangione, who hails from a wealthy real estate family in Maryland, was arrested on December 9 in Altoona, PA, after Thompson was shot and killed in New York City.

Authorities confirmed that fingerprints found at the crime scene match Mangione’s, and a 3D-printed gun found in his backpack was linked to the shooting.

Despite this, Mangione’s lawyer insists there is no evidence proving his client is the shooter, and he plans to fight extradition to New York.

Mangione’s story took a dark turn from his privileged background.

Raised in an upscale suburb of Towson, MD, he attended prestigious schools and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

His grandfather, Nicholas Mangione, built a successful real estate empire, leaving behind a legacy of wealth and business ventures.

Mangione’s arrest has shocked many, as he appeared to be heading towards a promising future.
