Holiday Shopping Shutdown: Home Depot and Lowe’s Closed on Christmas Day

With Christmas just around the corner, holiday shopping will come to a stop for many major stores, including Home Depot and Lowe’s, which will both close their doors on Christmas Day.

This means shoppers will need to plan ahead for their home improvement needs before Christmas, as both stores will be closed for the entire day.

Home Depot will be closed on Christmas, but you can still shop on Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas when the store will be open as usual.

The only other holiday Home Depot shuts down for is Thanksgiving.

Lowe’s will also close on Christmas, but it offers some helpful services to make shopping easier before the holiday.

For example, you can get same-day delivery on certain items if you order by 2 p.m. in select areas, and Lowe’s will match any lower price you find at another store for the same item.

Plus, they offer a convenient pick-up service to help you skip the lines and get your items quickly.

Other stores closing on Christmas include Big Lots, Macy’s, Walmart, Kohl’s, JCPenney, Target, and Dollar Tree, along with grocery stores like Publix, Costco, Sam’s Club, and Whole Foods.

But don’t worry, there are still some places open for last-minute shopping.

Stores like Walgreens, CVS, 7-Eleven, and even some grocery stores like Giant and Wawa will be open on Christmas Day.

For those who want to skip cooking, some restaurants will also be open, including Denny’s, McDonald’s, IHOP, and Starbucks.

Remember to double-check with local stores or restaurants to make sure they’re open before you head out on Christmas Day!
